Town Hall Meeting

A Town Hall Meeting is an annual opportunity for Council to offer a forum to review the municipality’s “big picture” and key initiatives with the community based on an agenda that is advertised ahead of time. 

A guest moderator is often present to guide the flow of events and there are opportunities for questions and for the community to provide important feedback and opinions on current and future projects, activities and initiatives. An important part of the Town Hall Meeting is reviewing the results of the  Annual Community Survey and presentations from various operational areas.

There are displays at the meeting featuring the previous year's photo contest winners, plans/drawings/photos of past, current and future projects. There is also an information centre with copies of the Annual Report, financial statements, etc.

There is a wonderful opportunity after the meeting to network with Council, staff and guests as well as visit with each other while enjoying a cup of coffee and a snack.

A Town Hall Meeting report with a some meeting notes will be posted after staff and Council have had the chance to review the event. Copies of the presentations given by staff  will also be available to view/download.
