Commissioner of Oaths

A Commissioner of Oaths is a person authorized to administer and witness the swearing of oaths or solemn affirmations as it relates to affidavits for legal matters. Commissioners may witness declarations, however, they do not certify the truth of the statements contained in a document and they do not certify copies of documents.

A person must be physically present before the Commissioner and prove his or her identity (using photo identification).

There is no cost to have documents Commissioned at the Town Office.

There are two commissioner of oaths on staff at the Town Office: Admin Assistant, Lovely Magnaye and the CAO, Ferne Hebig. You may drop in during business hours or make an appointment for this service.
