Visitors
Welcome to the land of living skies.
Wadena is a bustling community of approximately 1400 people which is located on the shores of The Quill Lakes, Canada’s largest salt water lakes, where over 1 million birds visit annually
Our prime location is one of our greatest advantages. Our manufactures, distributors and other local industries and businesses have easy access to markets, as Wadena is located on both the CP and CN rail lines and is at the junction of Highways 5 & 35. Our major centres, Regina and Saskatoon, each with a mahor airport, are just a 2 hour drive away.
When you visit our community and see how neat, tidy and esthetically pleasing the Town is, it is evident that civic pride and community involvement is alive and flourishing.
The close proximity to the Quill Lakes makes Wadena a must see destination for bird watching, wetland exploration, hunting, and camping.
Wadena is a town that is prosperous enough to support a variety of businesses but small enough that you do not experience the drawbacks of the big city. An ideal location to live, raise a family, work or call home.
Just a 15-minute drive from Wadena is Fishing Lake. Fishing Lake features excellent camping, boating, swimming and or course fishing. The fish population include perch, walleye, and pike, with fish reaching recorded sizes of 40 pounds.
