Swimming Pool

The Wadena Swimming pool is located at 66 Jim Headington Way and is a modern facility that was build in 2002.  It features a junior olympic size pool along with a zero depth entry along with large clean change rooms and plenty of sitting area .  During the summer months the swimming pool offers Canadian Red Cross Swimming Lessons in four different sessions, as well as aqua sises and other programs.

In 2010, the Wadena Aquatic Centre completed the installation of Solar panels as well as a storage building for the Parks and Recreation Department.

With the installation of the Solar panels we will now be able to heat the pool water from the sun and will not have to rely on the the pools boiler to always heat the pool water.  This is in turn will decrease the operating cost of the Aquatic Centre as well as keep user fees at a low cost as well.
