Emergency Services

Wadena is home to an Integrated health facility housing 14 acute care beds and 52 long term care beds, with a staff of 108.  Medical services are provided to the community by 2 physicians, 1 nurse practitioner, Home care and Ambulance.  Visiting health services include once a week optometry services, Public Health, Mental Health, a Dietician and PhysioTherapy.  A nurse practitioner and a dentist are currently being recruited.   A medical clinic is located adjacent to the hospital and is the primary health site under the Saskatoon Health Region which serves the people of Wadena and surrounding communities, including the Fishing Lake and the Yellow Quill First Nations.

Two massage therapists and a chiropractor also provide services to Wadena.

Weneeda Park Lodge, an enriched housing facility, provides 32 suites for level 1 and 2 care, but often accommodates up to level 4 care.  This facility has been continually upgraded and modernized and is full all the time.
