Halloween Guidelines

Halloween Welcome Image

Stay home if you are sick or experiencing symptoms – do NOT hand out candy if you are sick!

Wear a face mask – be creative!

Sanitize and wash your hands often!

Practice safe social distancing of 6ft or more!

Wrapped/Store bought treats only! Sadly, no homemade candy apples!

Look for the attached Halloween Picture in windows – this means its ok to approach!

Assign 1-2 employees outside the business to hand out treats!

Wear masks and sanitize frequently!

Set up a table to create a barrier between your employees and little monsters!

Pack each treat individually – no loose or unpackaged candies!

Post a set “Trick or Treat” time in your window, at least one week in advance!

Post the attached Halloween Picture in your window so kids/parents know it is ok to approach!

If you are participating in handing out treats, please place the attached Halloween Picture clearly in your windows for all to see; this will indicate it is ok for them to approach the home!

Pack all treats individually – no loose, homemade, or unpackaged candy!

Wear a mask to protect both yourself and kiddos; remember to wash or/and sanitize your hands often!  Try use a tool to hand out candy like tongs or a candy “shoot” – get creative!

Consider these alternatives for handing out: A garage give out (more room to social distance), place a table between yourself and the trick or treaters, disinfect throughout the day, mark out 6ft along your driveway or walk way for kids to keep a safe distance!

Whenever possible, accompany your children trick or treating. This will ensure they are doing it safely and following guidelines!

Talk to your kids about physical distancing expectations/guidelines as well as road safety!

Have your kids wear a mask and sanitize often!

Show your children the attached Halloween Picture so they know it’s ok to approach the homes or businesses with this picture in the window!

Trick or Treat only with people you live with or are in your immediate “bubble”!

Parents be the first to check children’s treats and sanitize as outlined in the SK guidelines – using sanitizing wipes on packaged candy or hold treats for a minimum of 72 hours before consuming! (not sure this would go over well with the kiddos!)
