That the minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council held on January 16, 2023 be approved as presented.
That the following correspondence be acknowledged:
That the following Committee Minutes and Reports be acknowledged:
THAT payment of the accounts represented by cheques #24016 to #24072 and #2401 to #2402-Man totaling $242,426.46; and payroll vouchers #2925 to #2967 totaling $55,909.31 be approved as presented and attached hereto, with the exception of cheque #24007 to CIMCO Refrigeration.
That the monthly financial statement and bank reconciliations for December 2022 be accepted as presented.
That the 2023 Certificate of Insurance Fidelity bond coverage of $500,000 effective from December 31, 2022 to December 31, 2023 be approved.
THAT the property owner of #614 Main Street and #101 Kennedy Avenue be given authorization to register with Information Services Corporation for the consolidation of parcels Lot 4, Blk 41 Plan 61H00796 and Lot 5, Blk 41 Plan 61H00796;
Furthermore, that a tax cancellation of the municipal land base tax in the amount of $450.00 on Lot 4, Blk 41 Plan 61H00796 (614 Main Street) be approved for the 2023 taxation year due to the consolidation request not being included on the 2023 SAMA maintenance.
THAT the following remuneration rates be approved and be retroactive to January 1, 2023:
Regular and Special Council Meetings $150.00 per meeting
Committee and Board Meetings $100.00 per meeting
Out of Town Business (half day) $100.00 per half day
Out of Town Business (full day) $200.00 per day
Mileage $.60 cents per km
Meals Breakfast $20.00, Lunch $20.00, Supper $20.00
Mayor or Acting Mayor Honorarium $450.00 per month
Furthermore, that the Per Diem Policy P2023-002 be approved as amended.
THAT a Special Meeting be set for Monday, February 27 at 6:00p.m. at the Town Council Chambers to discuss the following business:
THAT subdivision application file SUBD-001120-2023 provided by the Ministry of Government Relations for Lots 2-5, Block 29 Plan BC6483 proposed as Lot 24, Block 29 Place of Worship and Lot 25, Block 29 Residential Principal Use be approved.
